Bimbo Bakeries USA has as an outstanding opportunity for aControls Technicianfor ourOconomowocplant whose responsibilities will include electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems troubleshooting, repairs, PLCs, and upgrade projects. Also responsible for supervising plant mechanics to achieve an efficient maintenance team, assuring effective preventative maintenance programs for the plant while keeping downtime to a minimum.
Ability to analyze problems on equipment and supervise needed repairs.
Interpret technical information to ensure proper repair.
Prepare requisitions necessary for tools, parts, and equipment.
Schedule mechanics to meet the needs of maintaining and repairing production equipment, best utilizing the plant's preventive maintenance system.
Set objectives and assign work to maximize utilization of maintenance personnel.
Review and maintain attendance records.
Provide training for mechanics as required.
Provide plant wide safety training on designated topics.
Capable of holding associates accountable for working safe, following plant GMPs and adhering to all other plant rules.
Participate and be an active member on plant safety teams and other safety initiatives.
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, the Food Quality Plan and all other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.
Work closely with the Plant Engineer, reporting shift work, concerns and other information on the efficient running of the department.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Position Requirements
Requires electrical, electronic, and mechanical experience with PLC/HMI Programming, and Allen Bradley experience is preferred.
Strong hands-on technical support for PLCs is required.
Technical degree in a related field.
Three or more years of hands-on supervisory experience in maintenance and engineering.
Operational background in electrical circuitry and equipment repair.
Computer experience and labor relations experience preferred.
Excellent communicaiton skills and effective team building skills a must.
Relocation will be provided for the qualified candidate.
