is a regional distributor of engines for use within non-road products.
We are a supportive, rewarding, and collaborative workplace! We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused Engineering Administrator who can effectively communicate and collaborate with others, as well as manage multiple projects with organization and planning.
The Engineering Administratoris responsible for managing the implementation and documentation of engineering changes.
This role ensures that all engineering changes are properly reviewed, approved, and executed while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
The Engineering Administrator collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, production personnel, and quality control, to facilitate smooth change management processes and maintain product integrity.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
Some essential functions of this position include:
Change Notice (CN) Management:
Generate, review, and process engineering change requests, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Documentation Control:
Create, maintain, and update accurate records and documentation related to engineering changes, including change orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and related technical documents.
Change Review and Evaluation:
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate the impact of proposed changes on products, processes, and systems, considering factors such as feasibility, cost, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Make decisions, provide recommendations and/or escalate based on the situation.
Support new project introduction using CN processes.
Coordinate and monitor tasks according to the milestone process.
Change Approval Process:
Facilitate the review and approval process for engineering changes, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders provide necessary feedback and approvals within specified timelines.
Change Implementation:
Coordinate and communicate change implementation plans with relevant departments, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to execute approved engineering changes efficiently and effectively.
Process part numbers, bills of material and change orders, review for clarity, errors and proper approval routing, accuracy, and completeness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality control team members to ensure seamless integration of engineering changes into existing processes and systems.
Change Tracking and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on the status of engineering changes, including tracking progress, identifying bottlenecks, and reporting key metrics to management.
Compliance and Documentation Standards:
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and documentation standards, or other relevant quality management systems.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in the CN management process and contribute to enhancing overall change management efficiency and effectiveness.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to employees involved in the CN process, ensuring understanding of procedures and adherence to established guidelines.
Education & Training Associate degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
Work Experience Proven experience in change management or documentation control within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and terminology.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in using document control, project management software, and Microsoft Office products.
Advantageous:
knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) software, CAD 3D modeling software, and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to engineering changes.
