Our general family dental practice is seeking a bright and energetic full time dental assistant to join our dental family.
This position requires a motivated and organized individual who can pay close attention to detail while effectively multitasking.
Strong candidates are creative, independent workers who take initiative, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work effectively in a team.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service to our patients, and are looking for someone who can contribute to a positive overall experience for our dental patients.

Responsibilities:
Chair side assisting using 4 handed dentistry with the dentist Taking digital X-rays Setting up/preparing operatories before procedures Screening patients Updating medical history, BPs Turning over ops after procedures using proper sterilization techniques Keeping the operatory clean and well-stocked Impressions for models when needed Scanning for records Interacting with patients and putting them at ease Undertake lab tasks as instructed (ex:
whitening trays, custom trays) Assisting dentist with treatment planning, charting and notes Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Hours for this position are full time 35-40 hours per week.
Skills/Requirements:
Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience Trustworthy, efficient, self starter Ability to think logically and quickly under pressure Ability to perform non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Additional certification or training is an asset Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus.
