Cashier/Customer Service Responsible for the operation of the cash register including ringing-up of purchases by appropriate department, handling cash, checks, and credit card sales, and providing correct change.
Responsible for the accuracy of cash register entries; no excess overages/shortages.
Responsible for maintaining excellent and courteous relations with customers in the retail store and for providing good customer service when receiving donations.
Responsible for assisting in the departmentalized stocking of the retail store from direct donations and for assuring store orderliness.
Responsible for keeping display fixtures neat and orderly.
Collecting carts and ensuring store is clean and public areas such as bathrooms are cleaned and stocked.
Responsible for assisting in ensuring that production is completed properly, that adequate saleable merchandise is placed into the store, and that the store is kept neat and clean in order to encourage sales.
Ordering, stocking and making recommendation to new items to be sold in the store.
Assistant customers in the retail floor in any department as needed.
Essential Functions:
Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
Maintains clutter free, clear egress to emergency exits.
Immediately corrects or reports any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
Assists Customers in any way necessary processing sales transactions, assists with merchandise, and answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas including the front-end, sales floor and restrooms to help maintain merchandise, customer, and staff areas.
Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintaining merchandise familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers.
Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
Ability to communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to use all Store equipment, including phones, registers and PC as required.
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
Associates who work in production must have the ability to regularly push, pull and lifting to 50 pounds while working both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
Flexibility to adapt and change duties as needed by the store management.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
