ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Position Summary Designs, plans, and implements human resources programs for a plant. Administers corporate policies relating to compensation, benefits, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs. May be responsible for negotiating collective bargaining agreements. Travel and flexibility required in this HR Leadership position. Provide full human resources coaching and support to assigned locations by ensuring appropriate consistency with locations, corporate philosophies, and strategies and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and the uniform administration of key policies and procedures Partners with senior management to align HR policies and procedures operationally and strategically with the local needs. Identifies HR specific initiatives and process improvement initiatives Lead and manage the problem-solving process of complex employee relations issues, internal investigations, performance concerns, etc Ensure compliance with applicable laws in the countries, states, and communities in which we operate Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team on hiring, promotions, and transfers, participate in interviewing process Participate in labor negotiations and provide guidance to operations in labor relations related issues including grievances resolution and arbitrations as needed Provide various on-going regional training to HR team and Operations as needed EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS Education Required Bachelor's Degree Education Desired Bachelor's Degree Other Certifications Required Or Desired PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Preferred SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Work Experience Required At least 7 years relevant experience required. Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources (HR) function or department; ability to use and administer the organization's HR policies, strategies and environment Knowledge of and ability to use the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies relevant to human resources management Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting HR practices Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives Knowledge of and ability to plan and develop an organization's HR operations in order to increase individual and organizational effectiveness Knowledge of and ability to implement HR related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure smooth daily HR operations ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Flexible work/Travel expectations up to 35% Experience with labor relations, negotiations, grievances, and contract interpretation Knowledge of new and existing trends in all aspects of Human Resources; a full understanding of federal, state, and local law for employment-related matters Must be capable of generating written communications and formal documents, including business correspondence, strategic planning documents, and corrective action plans Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics Ability to exercise considerable judgement and discretion Solution and results oriented with the ability to plan, implement and drive HR multiple projects Team player with the ability to communicate/influence across the organization Ability to handle the stress of working with others Availability outside of normal business hours Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others Ability to lead by example
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
HR Generalists & Business Partners, HR Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
